I have spoke a lot about internet marketing in the past but concentrated mostly on offsite marketing. In this blog I want to speak on onsite marketing. I know that you may not feel that this is as important as offsite marketing however it is just as important. Onsite marketing will bring you new visitors but if you don?t preform onsite marketing properly then all of the money you spend bringing visitors to your site will all go to waste. I am going to show you how you can improve your conversion rate so that when you get visitors to your website they will convert like they are supposed too.
- Content ? This is the first on many of the lists that I have done. It is extremely important for both onsite and offsite marketing. However, many people write content for their website strictly for the search engines. Even if the search engine doesn?t catch on to what you are doing and ranks your website highly on the search engines then visitors will come to your website and witness content that was written for the search engines. Once they notice that the content doesn?t hold any relevance to what they are searching for they will leave your website without converting. So when you are writing content you need to make sure that you are writing for your customer base.
- Freshness ? Believe it or not I have been to websites that had the wrong prices, address, products that were no longer being sold, etc. If you want to run a successful online business, you have to make sure that your website is fresh and up to date. When a visitor comes to your website they should be going to a website that is up to date so that they know what it is that they are getting.
- Tricks ? Don?t try trick your visitors. There are businesses out there that feel that the best way to market their website is to offer something great to get them to your website and then have a bunch of hidden fees. This trick may make your website a couple extra sales but it will run out. If you run your business right you will be able to grow your business through referrals and repeat customers. That is how you run a successful business.
